At Desert Sky Counseling Services, LLC
in Las Cruces, New Mexico, we believe in client-centered therapy and encourage the client to feel empowered and in charge of his or her therapy. Every client is unique with individual physical and psychological needs. We will work with you in a holistic approach to guide you toward accomplishing your individual goals and achieving a sense of personal well-being. While our clinicians can prescribe medications, we believe that taking medication is a personal choice that is up to the client and should not be pushed upon anyone. Our holistic treatment approach ensures that we provide psychotherapy in conjunction with medication, if any, is prescribed. Dr. Stephanie Lynch
PhD, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC
Stephanie moved to Las Cruces 15 years ago. She completed her associates in nursing in 1995, her bachelor's in 2004, her masters as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2006, and her Ph.D. in 2009. Stephanie began Desert Sky Counseling Services in 2007, where she has grown this practice from the ground floor. It is her passion and continues to flourish. Recently adding a new office with suboxone.
Dr. Marren A. Onyalo
DNP, APRN, FN P-C, PMHNP-BC
Dr. Onyalo is a nationally double board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Associates Nursing in 2009, Bachelor’s in 2013, Masters in Nursing with specialization in family practice in 2015 at Tennessee State University. Her post-graduate certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2021 at New Mexico State University. She recently completed her Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2023 at New Mexico State University. She
has experience working with children and adults. In her free time, Dr. Onyalo volunteers with Southern New Mexico Diabetes Outreach.
